SCAM ALERT: Do Not Pay Callers Who Threaten to Arrest You Unless You Pay
Residents of the Middle District of Georgia continue to receive fraudulent phone calls claiming that the victim failed to appear for jury duty in federal court and/or has an arrest warrant or similar adverse situation. The scammer tells the victim that he or she can avoid arrest or other negative consequences by making a payment, which may include purchasing a pre-paid card—such as a Green Dot card or gift card—and then giving the card number to the scammer.
Checking Your Reporting Status
You must call 1-800-793-7903 after 6:00pm the evening before you are scheduled to appear for any last-minute changes or cancellations. DO NOT appear for jury service unless you have called to confirm your reporting status.
In the event of hazardous weather on the morning you are required to report, please call the Automated Jury Information System at 1-800-793-7903 to see if there has been a change in the reporting instructions. eJuror will not provide you last minute weather delays or cancellations – only the Automated Jury Information System.
