Electronic Case Records
You may access the electronic case record for any Federal case filed in this court (cases filed in this court do not include matters filed in State Court, Superior Court, Magistrate Court or Probate Court which include divorce matters, child custody matters, state or local criminal matters, etc.) after 2004, and many cases filed prior, using PACER https://pacer.login.uscourts.gov/csologin/login.jsf (if you do not have a PACER account, you may create one by selecting Need an account? (See the Electronic Public Access Fee Schedule for fees associated with PACER.) If you are not able to locate your case record and need further assistance from the Court, a $34.00 fee is required for each name you wish for the Court to search.
Self Service Ordering of Records
For your convenience, the Federal Records Center offers an Automated Online Ordering System. (Click on "Order Reproductions," then "Court Records.") for older case files. Documents will be delivered to you directly via fax, mail (paper or CD/DVD) or email.

Prior to ordering, you must search below for the accession number and location of the file. If you are unable to locate your case, contact the division office where the case was initiated to obtain record information prior to ordering. The PDF files are text-searchable using Adobe. (Press Ctrl-F to Search)
** Case files closed for more than 15 years may be located at the National Archives. These files may only be retrieved by order of the court or by visiting the National Archives in Morrow, GA on Tuesday-Saturday from 8:30am-5:00pm. Please call the Archives at 770-968-2100 prior to visiting.

Request Retrieval by the Court
The fee for the Clerk's Office to retrieve a file regarding any Federal case filed in this court (Federal cases filed in this court do not include matters filed in State Court, Superior Court, Magistrate Court, or Probate Court which include divorce matters, child custody matters, state or local criminal matters, etc.) from the Records Center is $64.00 ($39 for each additional file) payable in advance. You must contact the state or local court in which the matter your inquiring took place. When the file arrives, it may be viewed in person in the Clerk's Office. Copies of documents are $.50 per page. If mailing of documents is requested, applicable postage fees will apply. You may request a file or copies of documents via email at help@gamd.uscourts.gov or by contacting the division office where the case was initiated.
DO NOT send payment to the Court without first confirming that the record is available.
